What is Coaching?

What is Coaching?

Let's start with what Coaching is NOT:

Coaching is not....accomplished in a short period of time.  Typically Coaching is provided over a period of 3 months with options to continue.  It takes time to change behaviour and to reach goals.  However, I get that there may not be a fit - and that's okay.

Coaching is not...easy.  YOU do the work.  As a Coach, I facilitate the session to guide you to realize what you already know.  Your Coach will not give you the answers - but your Coach will help you recognize blocks that are preventing you from moving forward.

Coaching is not... counselling or therapy.  A Coach does not have the training to work with your emotional baggage from the past or the "woulda, coulda, shoulda".   A Coach is future-focused.  I deal with the issues at hand today so that you can implement change to make tomorrow better.  If you need therapy - I will point you in the right direction.

Coaching is not... limiting or disempowering.    That may sound facetious, but your Coach is there to help you see your own magnificent potential.  Your Coach is encouraging and supportive of whatever decision you make.  Your Coach will also stay with you as you realize your dreams.

Christine is fantastic to work with. She is always prepared, is so easy to get along with, and most importantly will help you to reach your own conclusions about what you need to do to achieve your goals. I would highly recommend that if you are looking for professional or personal coaching, give Christine a shout. You will find a person who can help you realize in yourself what you need to succeed.

So, What is Coaching?

By working in a completely confidential setting, coaching breaks down barriers to success and challenges individuals to reach new levels of achievement, satisfaction and balance in life.  Through a process of inquiry, coaching allows you, the Coachee, to realize what you already know.  Clients emerge from my coaching sessions more focused, more motivated and more productive.  I will challenge you with action steps so be prepared to work!  A series of sessions are required to put into action what you are learning about yourself.  I enjoy coaching both businesses and individuals.

I inspire clients to set and achieve goals and overcome obstacles resulting in changes in thought processes and behaviours which can transform your personal and/or professional life.  You can achieve what you were meant to have through coaching.  But remember, a coach is not a therapist and does not "counsel" or analyze the past.  Coaching is based on the principle that you the client has the intrinsic ability to determine and achieve your own goals.  As your coach, I will empower you to find your own truth so that you can realize significant change.

I believe that the individual always has the answer to their own challenges, but understands that they may need the help of a coach to find the answer.
